In the first half of the 17th century, it was extended with the addition of a chambered rower and eaves, and in the second half of the 18th century, with the addition of the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows and a small treasury vault.<\/p>\n<p>The church is characterised by a uniquely monumental structure. Thanks to the use of technically perfect carpentry solutions (among others, the truss-and-tie ceiling, precise execution, and complicated corner joints), it obtained an elaborate spatial structure, which still inspires admiration for the craftsmanship of the builders.<\/p>\n<p>The interior is distinguished by a painting decoration with a rich iconographic programme and a high artistic level.
