BINAROWA<\/strong> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#e52330″ height=”5px” custom_margin=”0px||25px||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n The church in Binarowa is a prominent example of carpentry construction growing out of the medieval craftsmanship tradition.<\/strong><\/p>\n It was built around 1500 as a mortise and tenon (log) structure, oriented, single-aisle, with a three-sided enclosed chancel. To the west, it was extended in 1596 with a pole structure chambered tower. The side chapel of the Guardian Angels was built in 1641-1650. The church is slenderised by a steep shingled roof.<\/p>\n The aisle features a flat ceiling with entablatures. The interior is richly decorated. On the ceilings there is ornamental decoration referring to the patron from the beginning of the 16th century. In the aisle, there is complete figural decoration from 1641-1643 (in the background of one of the scenes, there is a view of the town of Biecz). The walls of the presbytery are decorated with Passion scenes (1650).
